Commissioner of Education Pam Stewart honored nearly 50 Florida business partners in education, including Centennial Bank, with the Commissioner’s Business Recognition Awards. The awards were made during the Florida Chamber Foundation Education Summit in Orlando.
“It’s a pleasure to recognize these statewide business leaders who have invested their time and resources to support Florida’s students,” said Commissioner Stewart. “Business partnerships provide valuable real-world experiences that are essential in preparing students for continued success on their academic journeys and beyond. These partnerships are mutually beneficial, and I hope that today’s event will inspire more business leaders to help students in their communities get ready to enter the workforce.”
Calhoun County Superintendent of Schools Ralph Yoder expressed his appreciation to the local branch of Centennial Bank. “I am grateful for the support of Paige White and her team of dedicated employees here in Calhoun County. Their investment into our students, staff and the Calhoun County School District is a valued partnership that will pay dividends for years to come, by enhancing student achievement, employee engagement and community involvement.”
The Commissioner’s Business Recognition Awards, presented by Wells Fargo, are administered by the Florida Department of Education and the Florida Education Foundation to encourage successful alliances within the business community and among local school districts for the benefit of Florida’s students. Sponsors of the 29th annual awards program are MGT of America, Inc., FPL and Kyra Solutions
